It can often be overwhelming when you first begin your wedding dress shopping experience. As your bridal stylists, our mission is to guide you through the process of finding your perfect dress and help you know when you’ve found “The One.”

Let’s start off with the most important thing when trying on wedding dresses: trusting yourself, your intuition, and how you feel.

Self-doubt and/or the weight of others’ opinions may complicate your decision-making process, but always remember that this is your special day. You and only you hold the key to finding your perfect gown. You are the heart and soul of the appointment!

When trying on different silhouettes and exploring new styles, we encourage you to keep an open mind. Be prepared for your ultimate vision to change. (As bridal stylists, we’ve seen this happen countless times!)

To best prepare for your appointment, we may recommend coming in with a Pinterest inspiration board or images of styles you’re drawn to. An open mind is key, as this may change as soon as you try on the first dress!

Here are a few honest questions we encourage you to ask yourself before truly solidifying that it’s your dress: Do I wholeheartedly love it? Do I feel 100% confident in this dress? Can I picture myself walking down the aisle and saying “yes” to my forever person in this dress?
