My Sister’s Bridal Appointment

Hi I’m Julie Anne Tamilia, I’m a professional dancer, choreographer, artist and currently a bridal stylist here at Mon Bijou Bride. This is the story of how my sister Melanie’s bridal appointment went and how it led me to my dream job. 

My sister Melanie walked into Mon Bijou Bride in search of her perfect bridal gown for her special day. This was her final bridal shop stop and she ended up finding the dress she dreamed of. She was looking for such a specific style that matched her personality and the feel of the wedding. She tried on about 5-7 dresses and when it hit her she had her moment. That’s when she knew she had found “The ONE”. She then said “YES” to her dream dress and watching her light up was such an unforgettable moment. I am so glad I got to share that with her. 

I am also so grateful to have been my sister’s maid of honour. During her appointment, me just being me, I clicked very well with everyone around and the environment I was in. I thought to myself that this would be an awesome place to work! I then got offered a position at Mon Bijou Bride and I now get to help others find their dream dress and have their magic moment too. What started as my sister’s bridal appointment has now turned into a job I love!

 I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of brides journeys into finding their perfect gown.
